I transform garments into new, useful items – keeping them from the landfill & continuing their story.

Sofía Luzón is a designer lingerie label that arises from the need of having well-fitting undergarments that are ethically made with the finest materials and craftsmanship. She wants to pose an alternative to the ‘fast-fashion’ industry that standardizes women’s bodies and has caused a homogenisation both in fit and style.

All Sofía Luzón collections are handmade in Stockholm with Oeko-tex certified materials, using organic fabrics wherever possible and using local suppliers as often as she can. But this collection goes a step further: we’ve only used deadstock fabrics, which means they come from textile factories overproduction. By using them to create these designs, Sofía and I aim to reduce the waste from the fashion industry.

Sofía designed these garments using soft white mesh combined with georgette panels. The print on the georgette fabric was exclusively designed by me for this collection, and printed by a local factory in Barcelona. I developed it from one of my paintings, so the pieces of this sustainable lingerie collection can be described (quite literally) as wearable art.

The collection consists of a triangle-style bralette, a high neck bra, low-waist knickers, strappy knickers and high-waist knickers. Every garment is made to order by Sofía Luzón in Stockholm. You can find her work in www.sofia-luzon.com
